FFG presents cutting-edge hybrid-driven technology with GENESIS at EUROSATORY, showcasing reduced fuel consumption, minimized emissions, and quiet off-road movement. Alongside traditional tank systems like WiSENT 2 and ACSV G5, FFG also displays versatile solutions like ARM on GTK Boxer at KNDS stand.
Hybrid warfare in a completely different way: FFG presents its hybrid-driven technology demonstrator GENESIS at EUROSATORY in Paris, which as a kind of self-financed blueprint of the future tank will certainly attract the attention of industry professionals. The advantages of the hybrid concept used here with a diesel-electric unit are obvious, such as reduced fuel consumption, minimized exhaust emissions, and quiet movement off-road. In this case, all drive, control, and vital subsystems of the GENESIS are housed in the vehicle platform, which is intended as a carrier for various mission modules.

But FFG also has successful systems from the traditional areas of tank technology in Paris. Such as the well-thought-out multifunction platform WiSENT 2, which is based on the chassis of the Leopard 2 and is presented at EUROSATORY in the configuration as a pioneer tank. The heavyweight, which can also be configured as a recovery, mine clearance, and bridge tank, has been sold to five user states to date, where it could be seamlessly integrated into the existing supply and service chains.

The principle of multi-role capability is also part of the vehicle concept of the ACSV (Armoured Combat Support Vehicle) G5, which is also shown at the FFG stand. This is a highly flexible armored support vehicle that has already been procured in larger numbers by Norway. Conceptually, the ACSV G5 combines exceptionally effective mine protection with a robust design, while in production, MOTS and COTS products are used in particular. As a result, the ACSV G5 represents a versatile and reliable vehicle solution that - also due to a simple maintenance and repair concept - offers a particularly good price-performance ratio over the entire lifecycle.

But at EUROSATORY 2022, modern solutions from the Northern German company are not only found at their own stand. Another technological highlight awaits visitors at the KNDS stand, where FFG presents its Armoured Recovery Module (ARM) on a vehicle module of the internationally widespread GTK Boxer. This combination of crane arm and winch provides reliable support for vehicle repairs in the field or for cargo handling and stationary logistics tasks, such as in field camps. An obvious advantage of the ARM's mission module concept is its high logistic compatibility with the Boxer family components, which has been sold around 1,500 times to date. The additional customer benefit that FFG aims for is the ability to operate the module with crane arm and winch independently of the vehicle chassis.
Interested visitors at EUROSATORY 2022 at the FFG booth K 684 in Hall 6 will not only get a "live" impression of the mentioned systems but also an overview of the wide product and service portfolio of FFG, and a sense of why the medium-sized industry continues to be considered the innovation engine of Germany.
