Paris is the capital of fashion, so the French army can't avoid presenting their latest gear. Included: their Non-Multicam and maybe the new Winter camouflage.
Instead of the previous forest and desert camouflage, they have developed a cross-sectional camouflage: the new fabric is called "Bariolage Multi-environnement". In French, it basically means "Multicam", which translated simply means "Multi-environment camouflage pattern". The French are clever: in the future, you only need one uniform for the whole world instead of two. And for those who say "Multicam", they point out that there is unique "brown terre de France" (French earth brown) in the camouflage pattern - and patterns similar to those seen on French armored vehicles.
So, no licensing fees for Crye Precision. We have seen quite different colors that ensure the Americans don't get their hands on their Global Camouflage: "Bariolage Multi-environnement" somehow consists of crepe, chocolate, and mint. Bon Appétit!
France has had three camouflage patterns so far. Forest and desert CCE come together in the new "Bariolage Multi-environnement," but snow and winter don't fit so well. However, the snow camouflage here definitely should not be Multicam Alpine, but rather the winter variation of "Bariolage Multi-environnement". State "brown terre de France" means "snow from France". For comparison, here is the old winter camouflage of the French.
Otherwise, the French army can also look forward to many new gadgets. Spectacular Black Hornet drones, night vision devices as monoculars and glasses, HK416 and FN SCAR H - the latter with a thermal attachment.
