EUROSATORY 22: Germany for Patria 6x6
Germany joins the Patria 6x6 program during EUROSATORY, signaling future procurement of APCs. The program, led by Finnish Patria, will also provide vehicles to Finland, Sweden, Estonia, and Latvia.
During EUROSATORY, a surprising contract signing took place: Germany through the Bundeswehr has joined the Patria 6×6 program. Ultimately, it is about the follow-up procurement for the Fuchs armored personnel carrier. The 6×6-CAVS program, led by the Finnish conglomerate, will now produce APCs for Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, and potentially Germany. The Latvians have procured 200 vehicles so far, the Finns have given an intent declaration for 160. Germany should even have funds available through the special fund for such a procurement, if it were to materialize. More information about the PATRIA 6×6.
