The US Coast Guard has frozen its program that allows Coast Guard members to participate in the US Navy SEAL selection process and has announced a cost/benefit analysis. This will likely result in the program being cut. In total, there were 35 applications for the program, of which 6 made it to BUD/S. Three out of these six are now officially Navy SEALs.
