The AFCEA trade show, a key event in military electronics and IT, showcases innovations in robotics, AI, and cloud computing. ELBIT SYSTEMS Germany presents advanced electronic warfare and drone defense solutions, including next-gen radio systems and laser communication technologies developed with startups. The focus is on meeting rising military demands and enhancing capabilities.
Even before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the AFCEA trade show was one of Europe’s most important industry events in the fields of military electronics, sensor technology, communications, and IT. However, since 2022, the event has also cemented its importance as a melting pot for technical innovations in areas such as robotics, AI, and cloud computing, and has continued to grow steadily.
ELBIT SYSTEMS Germany is one of the world’s leading system integrators in the fields of communications, C4I, and electronic warfare (EW), and will be presenting high-performance solutions and new products from its own portfolio in Bonn. These include, for example, battle-proven systems in the areas of communications, electronic warfare, and drone defense.
In the context of electronic warfare, visitors to the trade exhibition will also see, for the first time, advanced EW systems from ELBIT SYSTEMS Germany for the land domain at the German company’s booth, which provide both protection and offensive capabilities across the electromagnetic spectrum. Other solutions are already in use worldwide in large numbers. The robust, software-defined radios of the E-LynX family, such as the PNR-1000D and HRM 9000, address the needs of modern Western armed forces in terms of security, interoperability, and functionality and are—like all Elbit products—commercially available and field-tested. They form the basis for next-generation quantum-secure radio systems, which are being developed in cooperation with the IT security manufacturer genua GmbH, a company of the Bundesdruckerei Group.
Another key area for the future is laser communication for multi-domain operations, on which intensive work is underway in close collaboration with the German startup Cucuyo. Here, ELBIT SYSTEMS Germany has announced plans to develop innovative communication solutions for the military based on Cucuyo technology.
Since the heightened threat level for Germany and Europe, the pace of innovation and development in the field of military high-tech has accelerated significantly, in parallel with the demand for available systems. ELBIT SYSTEMS Germany is addressing this reality at the AFCEA trade show in 2026 with a mix of battle-proven and highly innovative solutions.
