In early July 2022, Gregor Zowierucha took over the management of Elbit Systems Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. The graduate industrial engineer already has an impressive career in both military and civilian sectors.
After completing the General Staff Course, Zowierucha first served as an officer in the Center for Communications and was then assigned to responsible positions at the German Embassy in Washington D.C., the Joint Forces Operations Command, and the Federal Ministry of Defense after his deployment to Afghanistan. He then held various management positions in the German defense industry for many years, including at Rheinmetall and ESG in the Mission Aircraft and Unmanned Systems departments.
“I am looking forward to my new role, which is made easier for me by the excellent work of the Elbit Systems Deutschland team in recent years. I will strive to preserve the values for which the company is known today,” announced Gregor Zowierucha.
He succeeds the longtime CEO Thomas Nützel at the helm of Elbit Systems Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, who is retiring at the same time. He hands over to his successor a well-positioned, innovative company that has comprehensive expertise in communication and data links, cyber security, electro-optical systems, and solutions for the digital battlefield. Thomas Nützel commented on his departure: “Elbit Systems Deutschland stands for innovation, expertise, quality, and reliability, both in terms of our products and in relation to the customer. I am confident this will remain the case in the future. We are firmly on the side of the users and support them in their demanding tasks. We can all be very proud of what has been achieved.”
