The SINN of the mission

At the IWA25 in Nuremberg, there was a booth from the German special watch manufacturer SINN. They supply timepieces for all those who need to know exactly. 

The company based in Frankfurt am Main produces, among other things, high-quality watches for the German special unit GSG9. In the mid-90s, SINN developed the operational timepiece EZM 2 in collaboration with GSG 9, in which the special functional requirements of divers were perfectly implemented and the experiences from the development of the diver's watch 403 Hydro were incorporated. This service watch has found a worthy successor in the diver's watch UX (operational timepiece 2B), which can be purchased freely.

One of the novelties is the diver's watch U15. Sinn Special Watches acquired material from the outer skin of the decommissioned U-boat U 15 of the German Federal Navy and from this delivers the unique, limited to 1,000 pieces dive watch. As a historical homage to the achievements of the U-boat U 15, the miles traveled and the type designation are visible on the dial. The caseback is adorned with the silhouette of the U-boat class 206. Stylized air bubbles symbolizing surfacing in water enhance the three-dimensional effect with metallic blue and green tones.

The basic material of the watch is the steel of the U-boat U15. Decades in service, thoroughly experienced, and a unique opportunity to wear an extraordinary watch with maritime history on your wrist.
