Another brigade ENVG-B

L3Harris Technologies has announced the delivery of their 10,000th Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binoculars to the U.S. Army and the receipt of a new production order for additional ENVG-Bs.

The recent delivery of nearly 600 ENVG-Bs to the Army's Security Force Assistance Brigade completed the Army's original order of 10,000 units and marks a significant milestone in the company's four-year ENVG-B program. The Security Force Assistance Brigade will be the ninth Army brigade to utilize L3Harris' night vision system.

"In 2018, the U.S. Army selected L3Harris to develop and deliver a next-generation night vision goggle that would enhance soldier protection, situational awareness, and mobility," said Lynn Bollengier, President, Integrated Vision Solutions, L3Harris. "Less than four years later, we have delivered 10,000 ENVG-Bs, a number that continues to grow as customer demand for this groundbreaking technology, enabling soldiers to dominate the night, increases."

The battle-proven ENVG-B allows soldiers to identify, assess, and engage a target with greater accuracy and speed than any other night vision system currently in use, according to L3Harris. By employing advanced fusion technology and augmented reality capabilities, the ENVG-B provides soldiers with crucial situational awareness during low-light and nighttime operations, ensuring their safety and mission effectiveness.

As a key component of an integrated system connected with the Army's Family of Weapon Sights - Individual, the ENVG-B provides seamless interoperability and data exchange between goggles and weapon sights. This combination of advanced sensors and situational awareness gives the warfighter a tactical advantage when conducting missions in low-light and nighttime conditions.

When paired with tactical Falcon® IV radios via the wireless Intra-Soldier Network, the ENVG-B provides additional real-time battlefield information to soldiers in combat by transmitting messaging, surveillance, and reconnaissance videos directly to the goggles to expedite target identification and provide a comprehensive battlefield view.
