This is how you can advertise a new product: according to first rumors, DEVGRU in the operation in Abbottabad not only relied on the tried and tested arsenal, but also on the new modular weapons system CM901 by Colt. This may have been a clever marketing move, as newer information speaks of the HK 416 in the operation, but one does not rule out the other. Therefore, we will take a closer look at the CM901 just to be sure...

The system consists of a universal Lower Receiver, onto which different Upper Receivers can be attached. The Uppers support different calibers (5.56; 6.5; 6.8 and 7.62) and barrel lengths. Also, any standard AR-15 Upper (e.g. MK18) can be used. So, it is a highly interesting system that allows you to switch from a Designated Marksman Rifle in 7.62 to a CQB rifle in 5.56 within minutes.
