Women in the US Army are having problems with the issued protective vests. Even the smallest sizes are often too big for female soldiers, which makes wearing them uncomfortable and reduces their effectiveness. US lawmakers would therefore like to see a separate protective gear developed for women. (Page 33 at the bottom of the document) The US Army has already been testing an adapted system since last year, while the Marines see no need for action as their system is universally adjustable.
