MILREM Robotics unveils the Type-X Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) at DSEI 2023 in London, the first vehicle equipped with a Mixed Reality Situational Awareness System (MRSAS). More information about Type-X HERE.

The Vegvisir Remote MRSAS enhances decision-making for Type-X operators by providing them a virtual 360-degree dome with EO/IR sensor fusion for close and medium range visibility, and the ability to engage targets under all conditions. The system is optimized for remote use with lower bandwidth, connecting the operator to a digital hub for interaction and retrieval of digital data.

In addition to the new state-of-the-art situational awareness system, the Type-X is equipped with the latest and best PROTECTOR Medium Caliber Turret from KONGSBERG, which can be tailored to the specific requirements of various end-users. This combination, successfully tested in multiple firing trials, allows mechanized units to break through enemy defensive positions with minimal risk to their own troops.
