DSEI 2023: AIMPOINT ACRO on the British storm rifle

AIMPOINT has been selected to deliver Mini Red Dot Sights for the Alternative Individual Weapon System (AIW) known as L403A1 to the British Ministry of Defence through their UK distributor, Edgar Brothers.

The AIW will consist of three main elements: the L403A1 rifle system, the L900A1 optical system, and the training system. As part of the optical system, Aimpoint will deliver the ACRO® P-2 Red Dot Sight - seen in the image above mounted on the Reptilia Mount above the Vortex LPVO of the AIW.

The ACRO series sights are designed to exceed user requirements. They can withstand extreme shocks, vibrations, temperatures, and material stress generated by firing over 20,000 rounds of .40 S&W ammunition. The next generation ACRO is primarily designed for handguns but can also be mounted on carbines, shotguns, and hunting rifles, or used as a backup sight for magnified scopes and thermal imaging cameras.
