DONAUSTAHL delivers field deployment kits for STARLINK

Not only Leopard tanks and F16 jets are important in Ukraine's defense fight. Communication is the key to every battle. Since the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian armed forces have relied on the satellite network STARLINK operated by the US aerospace company SpaceX. It enables, among other things, the coordination of disaster relief and the control of Ukrainian weapon systems. For this purpose, mobile terminals are used.

To protect the delicate electronics from the everyday dirt of the front lines, Donaustahl GmbH has presented a mountable field kit in collaboration with a NAFO group. This kit specifically protects the cable connections during the laying and transport of the terminals near the front line. Several hundred units have already been delivered to Ukrainian troops and are in frontline use. From the initial contact, through prototyping, to deployment, four weeks passed. The deliveries are part of the support provided to Ukraine since March 2022.
