The camouflage in the test

05/10/2011By Redaktion

As it was already written in the Bible: "They wore strange garments and wandered aimlessly." At least the thing with the strange garments makes sense. They are meant to blur the outline of the wearer with their coloring and make them less visible. Now camouflage patterns are a tricky thing: Theory and practice are far apart, as we have known since the allegedly "universal" UCP. If you want to see and compare the camouflage effectiveness of quite a few patterns: the excellent website Camotest.de has collected and photographed a surprisingly large number in the landscape. Really exciting, even though you may have to search for some photos to find what you're not supposed to see.
