Drones are a useful reconnaissance aid on the battlefield that creates superiority. Today we show you the equipment of a Ukrainian drone operator. A peek into the backpack reveals that the DJI Mavics are the tool of choice.
They are likely not used individually, but rather in a group. The seemingly mismatched Mavics have a protective device to ensure nothing happens to them in the backpack. We can see two controllers, so we would guess that two drones are flying simultaneously, with a third in the team as a backup.
A closer look also reveals the armament of the drone team, an AK74 and a newly acquired AK12 from the Russians. Next to the drone backpack is essentially the supply backpack for the tactical drone: containing over 30 batteries and spare parts in the compartments – clearly a lot of propellers.
