The new Peltor ComTac XPI

07/06/2015By Redaktion

Military or police operations often take place in noisy environments. In these situations, not only does hearing need to be protected from damage, but clear communication must also be possible. To address this, 3M presents the Peltor ComTac XPI, an advanced headset.

The electronically level-dependent hearing protection is the successor to the proven 3M Peltor ComTac XP headset. It impresses with numerous new features, including software-controlled volume adjustment for radio signals. The wearer benefits greatly from this, especially when using the headset together with earplug-style ear protection. This allows for seamless radio communication even in high noise environments.

Voice-guided menu simplifies operation

In addition to increased filtering of up to 39 decibels in earplug mode, the headset also boasts numerous other features. The 3M Peltor ComTac XPI headset features a voice-guided menu, making operation considerably easier. Furthermore, new interchangeable microphone options are available for the headset. The new "Silent Mode" also allows for quick and easy deactivation of the external microphones.

Active hearing protection with enhanced comfort

Thanks to its low-profile cup design, the 3M Peltor ComTac XPI headset can be worn in combination with ballistic helmets. The headset excels in comfort, with all pressure points removed from the headband, for example.
