The new GLOCK: an AR15

GLOCK stands for engineering excellence – and the world-renowned company from Austria proves this not only daily with its world-class pistols. For some time now, there have been rumors that the German Wagram-based company, under the leadership of Gaston Glock, is also planning a rifle. In May 2021, SPARTANAT was able to exclusively reveal that GLOCK has filed patents for parts of a rifle. What was exciting back then was that both a GLOCK carbine and AR15 parts were mentioned, which we could not fully identify at the time. HERE is our video in English on the topic.

Today, it is clear that GLOCK is building two rifles: an AR15 and a GLOCK carbine. What we can show you today are the first images of the GLOCK AR15, which is designated as the GR-115F.

It looks like an AR15. This should not surprise us, as AR15 systems have an overwhelmingly large market share, which GLOCK would likely also like to enter. Always remember: even the best product from Heckler & Koch is an AR15 derivative, the HK416.

These are the markings on the new GLOCK rifle. GR-115F was not leaked in Austria, but is, if the information is correct, a weapon currently being tested by the British. No wonder, GLOCK also wants to participate in the many current global procurement programs. So far, there have only been pistols, now there is also a GLOCK rifle.

View from the other side: not a revolution, but a solid weapon from Austria. And there are enough people in the civilian market who would immediately buy a GLOCK rifle.

If the images are real – and we have no reason to doubt that – then the three logos are just as real: the GLOCK "G" is present on the lower, on the rail, and on the ejection port cover.

However, what the world is really waiting for is the actual GLOCK assault rifle. That's right: the GLOCK assault rifle is not the GLOCK AR15 G-115F shown now. It is a proprietary development with other patents that is still in progress and secret. The GLOCK assault rifle is expected to be released no earlier than the end of 2023.
