The new AKV-521 from Kalashnikov

Kalashnikov has just presented their latest weapon, the AKV-521. At first glance, it is a mix of AK74 and AR15. It offers a dual-sided fire selector, a continuous Picatinny rail on top, and a split housing, similar to an AR15. The locking parts are clearly Kalashnikov. It is still a rather crude prototype, as can be seen from the welds, but definitely an exciting development.
