LandCamo has announced that its camouflage patterns will soon be available as Gear. WOLF and LYNX are the first uniform sets (HERE more information for pre-order starting May 10). They not only look great but also have a functional appeal. One camouflage is designed for rocky terrain, while another excels in wooded areas - welcome to Central Europe with ABD/Mammut. The company LandCamo is based in Slovenia and is led by Brane T. Cervak. We interviewed him to find out more about what LandCamo can do.
SPARTANAT: A new Camo? Does that make sense? What makes LandCamo better?
Brane T. Cervek: LandCamo was first an idea, then a dream. LandCamo became blood and blisters on my hands and feet ... and LandCamo is the proud and mysterious WOLF that has now returned.
SPARTANAT: Sounds dramatic. How did LandCamo come about?
Brane T. Cervek: From the initial concept to the entire family of camouflage patterns in one process: capturing the variety of shapes in the natural environment, the pattern is "order in chaos." This order cannot be seen, but it provides the rules of invisibility, determines visibility, and is everywhere. The natural basics are the essence of the LandCamo camouflage patterns.
From the first printed fabric, I knew what the key was. LandCamo works like no other pattern in the field. And it immediately attracted worldwide interest. Many may think that LandCamo is just another computer-generated pattern. But it is far from that: the concept behind it is based on first-hand knowledge and experience.
SPARTANAT: In which areas can the LandCamo patterns be used today?
Brane T. Cervek: LandCamo has the prerequisites to be better than other camouflage patterns, as I have already explained. Problems that arose were solved and we have consistently developed in the field.
SPARTANAT: What is available from LandCamo?
Brane T. Cervek: Currently available are the ABD patterns. They cover different environments: ABD/SERE for arid, Middle Eastern landscapes, ABD/GORA for mountain combat, ABD/ALPINE for winter, ABD/JAGER for tropical and green environments, and the latest member of the family is ABD/MAMMUT, which is excellent for environments that are green and also have forests.
BRANE T. CERVAK operates the SSFN - SCHOOL OF SURVIVAL FROM NATURE - SPECIAL FORCES TRAINING. He brings 23 years of experience in the military and civilian sectors. He lived with an Aborigines tribe in Australia and served in the military at home in Slovenia during the independence struggle. He was the first European to be accepted by the Ngarinyin tribe, Wororra, Wunambul in the Kimberleys WA. There he earned the title of "Certified Nature Survival Instructor." He is the only one in Europe to spread this knowledge to special forces, paratroopers, reconnaissance units, and combat pilots. He works with the relevant units of the Slovenian army and trains them for their missions in different geographical areas (Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Chad).
