The SEAL and the Easter bunnies

This abstract explores a deployment image from Afghanistan featuring a man possibly a SEAL in full Multicam gear, carrying a SCAR-H with Specter DR and AN/PEQ-15. The presence of classic MICH helmets raises questions about their use among SEALs and SCAR-H shooters.

Deployment image from Afghanistan: the Easter bunnies are definitely not real, but the man next to them is most likely a SEAL, even though he is wearing full Multicam instead of AOR1. The Plate Carrier, on the other hand, is in a digital pattern. The shooter is carrying a SCAR-H with Specter DR and AN/PEQ-15. Classic MICH helmets are now rarely seen on SEALs, although there is a concentration of these "old" helmets in pictures of SCAR-H shooters. Whether this is a coincidence or has a rational explanation, we do not know.
