“The long-awaited Leopard tanks, the crown jewels of Hungarian military development, have arrived,” Defense Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said on December 14th in Tata, where the first Leopard 2A7HU tanks were handed over to the Hungarian armed forces.

Here we can see not only the typical Hungarian camouflage pattern on the tank, but also that the Puszta Leopard can be recognized by the typical FH Herstal weapon station on the turret roof.

Because nothing connects better than bridges, a bridge-layer Leopard 2L AVLB (top) and a new Hungarian workhorse, the Wisent 2HU ARV (bottom), were also present at the handover.
