The Russian tinkerer behind the ХОМЯК ATV, a crude but highly reliable off-road moped, aims to embody the Russian reputation for rugged technology. With a 150cc engine and a unique steel frame, this wild creation is capable of towing cars and fitting in a pickup truck bed.
Somehow, Russians are known for their crude but highly reliable technology. This is exactly what a Russian tinkerer is aiming for with his off-road moped, the ХОМЯК ATV. ХОМЯК (pronounced Homjak) means "hamster" in German.

The power plant is a 150cc engine, which is actually used in Chinese scooters. The rest of the Hamster is a massive steel frame, along with the chain of a snowmobile. All very wild, we love it.

The Hamster doesn't have steering in the traditional sense, but the driver controls it through weight shifting. This tiny off-road bike develops enough power to tow a car off-road. Thanks to its light weight of 85kg, it also fits well in the bed of a pickup truck. We definitely need a Hamster like this. The skilled tinkerer himself works for the Russian Offroad Tuning Company Ex-Road.
