The Belgian Rambo is dead

In recent weeks, a soldier in Belgium has been searched for with all force after leaving a bizarre farewell letter and disappearing into the woods. The former elite soldier was said to have threatened to kill politicians and a virologist. The "Forest Rambo" - as the Belgians called him - has now been found dead. He is said to have taken his own life.

A cyclist found the man's body, who had been sought by police and special forces. The suspected right-wing extremist disappeared on May 17 after death threats against a prominent Belgian virologist near the Hoge Kempen National Park in the Limbourg region. According to authorities, a "suspicious mechanism," possibly an explosive device, was found in a car believed to belong to the wanted man.
