Unlike traditional down fillings, which need to be sewn into chambers, TACDOWN is a type of down fleece in roll form. This construction effectively eliminates cold bridges that occur at the seams of traditional down chambers, providing a consistently homogeneous layer of insulation.

They are looking for "100 FIELD TESTERS" who will receive a free TAIKA jacket in exchange for realistic and honest feedback. They are primarily seeking soldiers and professional users such as outdoor guides and similar. • Hybrid performance: It combines the high thermal performance and lightness of natural down with the advantages of a synthetic filling, such as robustness and performance in moisture – without accepting its disadvantages.

The outstanding wearing climate of the TAIKA jacket is further enhanced by a special high-performance membrane with activated carbon particles, raising breathability to a new level. To ensure the membrane functions permanently, EMPEL technology—a DWR treatment that is permanently embedded in the fiber—renders any future re-impregnation unnecessary in practice.
