China has been keeping a low profile, but now the first photos of their new assault rifle QBZ-191 have appeared. It is intended to replace the existing Bullpup model QBZ-95. The caliber is said to remain 5.8x42mm, but in a new revised version to improve performance. The polymer attachments are also clearly visible. Stock, grip, magazine, and handguard closely resemble Magpul. The M-LOK slots are also noticeable. The Firearm Blog has gathered all known information and speculations.
