The new Abrams M1A3 tank was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, featuring a diesel engine, an autoloader, and a turret with an additional weapon station for Javelin missiles. With inspiration from the Russian T-14 Armata, the tank accommodates a crew of three in a heavily reinforced chassis, utilizing a gaming controller for operation.
At the Detroit Auto Show, the new US tank is unveiled for the first time: the new Abrams M1A3 – powered by diesel, the flat turret houses an autoloader, with a weapon station on top including a Javelin missile. The new Abrams seems to have taken some inspiration from the Russian T-14 Armata. The crew of three sits in the front of the heavily reinforced chassis.
The driver’s cockpit for the 3-man crew – it is operated with a gaming controller.
There is an additional weapon station CROWS-J on the turret with optical elements.
The power plant ist hybrid-diesel.
