Russian Spetsnaz operators in Syria use Multicam clothing for camouflage, Fort Body Armor, and American HelStar VIP Lights on their helmets. Their preference for Kalashnikovs with Zenitcos Rails sets them apart from Western operators in the region.
Some believe that East and West cannot be confused ... What a mistake. The image shows Russian Spetsnaz Operators in Syria, presumably in the area of Palmyra. The clothing is completely Multicam, obviously efficient camouflage for the region. To recognize a Russian Fort Body Armor, one must be an expert. What is intriguing is that the Russians use American HelStar VIP Lights on their helmets to mark their people with IR. What distinguishes them at first glance from Western operators, however, are the Kalashnikovs: the preference for the heavy caliber 7.62 x 39 is clear - and that Zenitcos Rails are mounted on the weapon.
