The Hottest Stuff in Poland

No, this isn’t some new cult from Easter Island that’s popped up in Poland and is setting off alarm bells for West German sect commissioners. At the MILLBROOK booth, there was the hottest new gear for people with a soldier’s heart: the Multi-Function Muzzle Device (MFMD) is a combination of a flash suppressor, suppressor, and muzzle brake in a single, easy-to-mount device that looks quite unique. Right now, it’s attracting a lot of interest everywhere, including from us—we’ve covered it (with video). During its latest rifle procurement from COLT CANADA, the Canadian Army decided to adopt the MFMD as its standard silencer.

If this little guy with its unconventional shape is too small for you, you can expand it with an attachment. By the way, in the lead image you can see a wide variety of versions for different calibers, ranging from 5.56 to Lapua Magna. The MFMD itself utilizes state-of-the-art 3D printing technology and aerospace-grade materials: Inconel is a heat- and corrosion-resistant nickel-based superalloy that is otherwise used in jet engines. Now, looking at silencers at a trade show is kind of like sniffing a steak. But we’re looking forward to October, when we’ll have the chance to try out the MFMD for ourselves.
