In the internet, some patent sketches were already visible, but now it's official. GLOCK has teamed up with AIMPOINT and developed a special Red Dot for GLOCK pistols.
The exciting thing is the new attachment directly on the slide of the weapon, called A-Cut. No MOS and no traditional clamping rail.
The Red Dot is called COA and looks like an ACRO, just slightly higher.
The COA can only be mounted on new GLOCK slides with a special milling. Only two screws are necessary.
For the latest GLOCK models, there will soon be the suitable slides available. Whether only as a whole pistol or also as a slide is not yet known. We also don't know if there will be Gen4 or even Gen3 slides, but we strongly hope so.
The specifications are already looking promising.
All further information about the new optic with the pistol can be found HERE directly at GLOCK and HERE at AIMPOINT.
