ENFORCE TAC 2026:

The AVON MITR System

The AVON MITR System offers advanced respiratory protection through a combination of fully sealing goggles and a half mask. It features flat P100 and CS filters, integrated fans for fresh air circulation, and options for communication. The modular design allows for easy integration with helmets and quick removal during breaks.

AVON is known for their full-face respirators. However, such comprehensive protection is not always necessary, and sometimes you need more than just a simple FFP mask. For this purpose, the MITR System has been developed, consisting of a fully sealing goggles and a half mask.

Flat filters are mounted via a bayonet closure. These are available in a P100 and CS filter variant. Optionally, a VPU unit can also be attached to ensure that speech is clearly intelligible. Alternatively, the mask can also be connected via a plug to the headset from Peltor or Ops-Core.

The goggles not only protect vision but also have two integrated fans that blow fresh air into the goggles from the sides. The air is not only sucked in, but a replaceable filter is installed at the top, with the same specifications as for the half mask. This prevents the eyes from being irritated by gases or aerosols. The entire system is powered by a connected battery pack, which is located at the back of the goggles' strap. A small LED on the side of the lens indicates the charge level. This LED can also be deactivated to avoid revealing the position during nighttime operations.

The setup can naturally be ideally integrated into the helmet. For the mask, there are suitable quick-release fasteners with magnet support, allowing the mask to be mounted quickly and easily. The advantage of such a split respiratory protection package is not only the modular and quick deployment but also that during breaks, the half mask can be easily removed to breathe fresh air or have a drink.
