The soldier of the future is intended to be equipped with optics that allow him to see everything. Whether night vision, thermal imaging, the target of the weapon, or maps - everything should be combined in one device. BAE Systems is already actively working on this. The first goggles - the ENVG III - were already presented this February at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Thanks to the technology, the soldier doesn't even have to aim actively. Of course, in the future, all data should also be transferable to the headquarters.

When everything is visible to the soldier, including maps and GPS data, he no longer needs to look away and can thus act more quickly and directly. Thanks to augmented reality, the data merge and the soldier himself can additionally mark waypoints or targets. More information in the Army Times.
