One of the biggest problems of the AUG is the shell ejection, which in the bullpup design is far back and leads to significant facial pain when changing weapons from right-hand shooting to left, as the shells are ejected into the face. The CorDef shell deflector redirects the empty ejected shells to the side or forward, creating ideal conditions for a seamless grip on each AUG from the shoulder opposite the ejection window. The shell deflector is simply inserted into the shell ejection window of the AUG stock and clamped by tightening the two screws. It also protects the plastic stock from damage.
