20 years ago the first version of ComTacs was released. This year marks the 6th generation - with the ComTac VI NIB. New features:
- NIB - Natural interaction behavior
- MAP - Mission Audio profile
- MI - Magnetic induction input
- Software driven electronics
- Voice guide menu
The NIB allows headsets with this feature to automatically connect to each other, allowing wearers to communicate directly without the need for additional radio devices.
MAP has four profiles to choose from - Observation, Patrolling, Conversation, and Comfort. These allow the headset to adapt to personal auditory preferences.
We will surely hear more about the new ComTacs and will be testing them at Shot Show and IWA to provide an insight.
