Carl the new Gustav

Power to the People is a general trend. Especially for struggling infantry, it is important when it comes to advancing powerfully. In the Austrian Armed Forces, the Panzerabwehrrohr 66/79 (more commonly known internationally as the "Carl Gustav" - interestingly named after a Swedish monarch) is still being used. Unconfirmed sources suggest that a successor is already rumoured to be in the Alpine Republic: 70 pieces of Carl Gustav M3 are said to be in use by the Jagdkommando, Jägerbataillon 25, and one at the Infantry School. It is unfortunately not known whether corresponding modern specialized ammunition has been procured. This modernization saves the PAR shooters half the weight, as the M3 comes with a plastic tube weighing 8.5 kilos. It seems, however, that they have not yet achieved the even lighter and smaller, very modern Carl Gustav M4 ...
