Camowars: OCP for the Air Force

10/22/2019By Redaktion

By the end of the 1980s, all US military branches had the same camouflage, namely the M84 Woodland. This changed with the year 2000, when the Marines switched to their pixelated MARPAT. After that, every military branch wanted its own camo pattern. The US Army really screwed up with UCP and has now switched to the Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP). The Air Force also wants to be just as cool, so they're now switching to OCP as well. However, unlike the US Army, the entire process of conversion for the Air Force will not be completed until mid-2021. Perhaps the US Navy and the US Marines will also decide to switch to OCP, then they would all be the same again. But until then, a lot of time will pass, and who knows what camo the US Army will be eyeing by then.
