IEA Mil-Optics GmbH received another delivery order (medium three-digit quantity) from the Bundeswehr for night vision goggles with a wide field of view (Quad-Eye), equipped with the latest unfilmed black/white (White Phosphor) tubes of the 3rd generation.
"The L3Harris GPNVG (Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggle) is one of the most powerful night vision goggles and has a field of view of 97°. This comes very close to the natural human field of view of about 120°. Compared to conventional night vision goggles with a field of view of 40-50°, the lateral head movement is reduced and objects or persons can be recognized much faster. The increased night vision significantly improves the safety for the soldier," says Alexander Engelhardt, Key Account Manager at IEA Mil-Optics GmbH.
The US manufacturer L3Harris is one of the leading providers of low-light amplification and thermal imaging technology as well as laser aiming systems for special forces worldwide and is able to deliver mature and market-available material within a very short time. This ensures maximum safety for the user in operations and minimizes risks for the procurement authority (market-available products do not have to be developed for several years during the procurement process). Due to the good cooperation between the procurement authority, the user, and L3Harris / IEA Mil-Optics GmbH, such projects can be processed within a few months.
