Bundesheer: On to the MOLLE universe

Giving is more blessed than receiving: Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner handed over a radar system "Beagle" based on a "Husar" to the Feldbacher Reconnaissance and Artillery Battalion 7 during the "Mountain Training Initiative" exercise in Hochfilzen. The radar system "Beagle" is an essential tool for the artillery, enabling precise shooting even in poor visibility.

That's all well and good, two laptops were also provided to modernize the army. But even more exciting is the small gear revolution we see in the pictures. Instead of a combat gear vest with a mounting system of an Austrian provincial solution that doesn't fit anything, suddenly there is a plate carrier that resembles a CIRAS Maritime, with MOLLE loops.

Austria is opening up to the wider world: with MOLLE, you can attach all pouches from any manufacturer you like. Such progress is hard to believe ... It is said that a new system is coming that integrates chest rigs and plate carriers. Back in March there was already images from the Army Clothing Institute, where even gear in new camouflage with MOLLE was seen - SPARTANAT reported on it.
