Sometimes the new ones just hang around inconspicuously. No one knows them, no one can assess them, they're just there ... At the B&T Behördentagen 2017 in Switzerland, a new arrival was on display at the Revison booth: here is the Caiman Carbon Bump Head System for the first time in Europe, first seen on SPARTANAT. This helmet system, which will be available from the end of July, is vying to become the new helmet for US Special Forces. The basis for this highly modular system is this carbon bowl here, which at first glance resembles an Ops-Core Fast Carbon, but is designed differently. For example, a complete ballistic shell can be attached to this helmet here. The SOF soldier has it as easy as possible, but then grabs the necessary protection when needed. Behind the Caiman is -- it doesn't really need it! -- the VIPER P4 Full Cut Helmet System, loosely speaking a 25 percent lighter MICH/ACH from Revision. HERE you can find more information about it.
For the soldiers who have all the fun – missions on the beach, on rivers, maritime, HALO and HAHO parachuting, and also fighting fast and agile on the ground – the Caiman Carbon Bump Head System is said to offer everything. Rails on the sides for lights, cameras, masks or here a mandible (e.g. for motorcycling or aboard an RHIB; this attachment is also available as a ballistic mouthguard). The Wilcox L4 NVG Mount is US standard with WARCOM drilling and used here to hang the eye protection. The interior also looks excellent and comfortable. HERE is the link to the Caiman Carbon Bump Head System at Revision.
