Elbit Systems UK has secured a $19 million contract to supply night vision devices to the British Army for tactical operations. The lightweight XACT nv33 NVGs will enhance troops' mission efficiency in low-light conditions.
Elbit Systems Ltd. announced today that its subsidiary Elbit Systems UK has received a follow-on contract worth approximately $19 million (about £17 million) for the supply of night vision devices and support throughout their operational life to the British Army. The contract will be executed over a period of 18 months.
Under the contract, Elbit Systems UK will supply the lightweight Micro Binoculars XACT nv33 NVGs in a helmet-mounted configuration. The XACT nv33 NVG have been designed to enable troops to effectively operate at a tactical level in low-light conditions and maximize the efficiency of their missions both on foot and on horseback.
