Choosing a weapon is the last means of self-defense. That's why it is so important to have good handling and solid training. There is now a lot of literature on this subject, but this book from 2008 can almost be considered a precursor to tactical self-defense shooting. At the same time, it is anything but a theoretical book: Hans Edelmaier, a shooting instructor in the federal army, can refer to extensive practical experience and imparts this knowledge. The book is not lacking visually (in black and white): alone, 500 photos and 80 graphics illustrate the book, which presents basic exercises and movement drills, explains coverings, teaches how to assess targets, addresses dueling shooting, and also discusses mental disposition. Lastly, practical examples show what a self-defense situation can look like and what can happen in serious confrontations - from a bank robbery to an assassination attempt. A kind of standard work that is worth reading.
