"Snipers - Masters of Patience" is a visually captivating book that provides a good overview of the history of military snipers. While the illustrations are excellent, the text can be repetitive and the translation lacks fluidity. Overall, it is a valuable resource for those interested in military history and sniper tactics.
Master of patience? That's us too ... Especially with this book. "Snipers - Masters of Patience" is a very good book in itself. Especially the illustrations are great: Beyond modern times, reenactors are used, meaning the pictures from the American Civil War look as if they were taken today (which they are). In that sense, the book can be excellently viewed. The reader suffers a bit with the text: Sometimes it repeats itself a bit too often. But the biggest problem is the translation, which sounds wooden in places and some image captions are also silly. That's a shame, because in itself it's a great book that gives a good general overview of the history of military snipers. So, those who like pictures are well served, those who don't get too upset about errors in texts ...
