Books & more: Everything about MARSOC

If you are interested in the US Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC), you can either search the depths of the internet for information or get the new book by Fred Pushies. The most important information about the special unit is summarized in 8 chapters on 147 pages.

It covers everything from a general overview of SOCOM to the weapons (quite detailed) and equipment used by MARSOC. However, if you are looking for a kitlist for your reenactment outfit, you won't find it here. The pictures (excluding portraits of weapons & equipment such as radios or GPS) were mostly familiar to me from relevant forums. A very positive aspect is that the book is quite up to date (2011).

Overall, the work, which is currently only available in English, is especially interesting for people who want to learn about MARSOC without a lot of prior knowledge. Those who have already delved deeply into the topic will find little to nothing new in it. Nevertheless, I can only recommend purchasing it.
