"Live Hard, Die Free" is the motto of the author and trainer Max Velocity, who emigrated from the Kingdom of Britain to the USA. The name says it all. In line with his shooting school, he has also published three books.
The two non-fiction books "Contact" and "Rapid Fire", as well as the novel "Patriot Dawn". The first two are standardized combat techniques in NATO procedure, as taught and learned in the UK. "Contact" is targeted more towards post-apocalyptic civilians, while "Rapid Fire" is aimed at soldiers or shooters in general.
However, apart from one chapter, the content is the same, just presented differently. More entertaining, easier to read, less paranoid and therefore likely more suitable for most this side of the pond, is probably "Contact".
"Patriot Dawn" is a somewhat quirky novel in terms of plot, but the focus is clearly on integrating individual combat techniques and the like. Thus, it serves to vividly illustrate the "why" of the first two books to the discerning reader. A must-read for fans of post-apocalyptic/military fiction.
All three books by Max Velocity are available on Amazon.
