Wopwopwop - as if a helicopter didn't already have enough special forces: here's the book that shows helicopters and special forces. We parked our helicopter right next to it so that it gets a little inspired.
A beautiful brick in landscape format, this book. Over 250 pages full of modern helicopter images. Blackhawks, Bells, Agustas, Eurocopter, Westland, Pumas, Boeing, Sikorskys, Mils, Kamovs, and much more. All current models to admire.
The German special forces are of course not missing. But "Helicopters in Special Operations" works globally, giving a good current overview of the various aircraft used in special applications internationally.
In addition to the spectacular images, the book also provides a lot of informative text, offering a great introduction to the world of modern operational helicopters. Pictures alone are nice, but it's the information that makes the whole thing educational and exciting.
The flying bananas of the Dutch are there – old but good, and also under discussion for the German special forces ... Anyway, we bought our heli new, but there was a strange logo from the previous owner.
In addition to images of aircraft and soldiers, the book also delves into the surrounding aspects: how does one get down (from the heli)? Ropes and ladders are common systems that are presented in the book. (The image on the right must be retouched: we have a very similar one in mind where a Great White Shark jumps out ...)
And of course, from a heli platform, one can wonderfully shoot at everything below, both with sniper weapons - HERE you can take corresponding professional courses in the USA - as well as with minignus. That's why it's called "special forces" because special forces are at work.
Here you can say thank you: Christian Rastätter is the author of the book, bringing passion and expertise. More about the book and you can order it HERE.
