Uprising in Berlin? Farmers? Any protests in Mitte? No, Tempelhof wants to "finally be free" and disconnect because some guys there want to act independently and not be bothered with their business by drugs and everything else by the pointless presence of the police and the rule of law. That scenario could be true. And in the meantime, the clan and colleagues are also active on social media, everyone knows they are "against oppression." Solidarity! They initiate a movement called "Chain Breakers" which aims to make the district an autonomous zone. And a few washed-up soldiers from the Bundeswehr are allowed to willingly live out their violent fantasies there - with sniper rifles and drones.
"Berlin Insurgency" is a top-class capital novel: Finally something happening in Berlin, but actually it's not really about the vision of a crumbling society, but about people who stand against it. Kris and Griffin have worked abroad as PMCs before, in the insurgency zone Berlin they come into action as an "assistance group" thank God and gather around them a colorful and wild mix of military and intelligence professionals who are supposed to break the uprising of the "Chain Breakers" in "direct action" of legal legitimate violence and of course infowar.
Whoever is writing here, it must be said, is knowledgeable in the subject matter. And places a lot of value on details. The weapons are right, the brands of the scene are right, it is adequately explained how snipers work. And also what language the people from the scene speak. This makes the book something special and a great pleasure for people who not only want to read a very exciting political thriller, whose scenario is not so unrealistic. Also ideal for readers who are currently focused on the right craft. Solid tactical SPARTANAT reading recommendation.
