The wars are always the right place to collect the equipment of the opposing side. At the ARMY 2023 exhibition, the Russians presented what they took from Ukraine in terms of vehicles, at least in cross-section. Not included are the naturally Ukrainian vehicles of Eastern descent, but the captured vehicles all received a NATO symbol and the flag of the country of origin. What stands out is that there is no battle tank among them. And the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle brought the most joy, which even the Russian Defense Minister Shoigu had to explain. We have the video on Twitter:
The Finns are there and already part of NATO: the Patria, known as Sisu Pasi, has an interesting improvised roof – probably for drone defense.
The vehicle from England is an AT-105 Saxon APC. Looks like a hooligan.
Reconnaissance with firepower: France had delivered AMX-10 RC wheeled armored vehicles. Some were gone fairly quickly because they were not used as recon vehicles, but offensively.
Sleek design and a few hits on the windshield: HUSKY from the British.
The Mastiff is a British protected patrol vehicle.
Germany has Marder and Leopard in the game, but the Russians didn't get them. Instead, they came across a DM-22 anti-tank mine.
Here is the AT-105 Saxon APC again, this time as a medical vehicle.
US Humvees - mass produced for every war, from Afghanistan to Ukraine. Now the Russians have one, still fewer than the Taliban.
The Bushmaster here has suffered during the conquest.
M113 is designated as American, but is actually in the Dutch version.
At least someone in Russia can be happy: the Tank Museum in Kubinka is the war profiteer who will receive the new vehicles for his collection.
