Most of the butts on current rifles are beveled at the end. This makes sense, as the stock fits well to the natural inclination of the shoulder and chest, at least when standing or kneeling. However, this inclination may not be quite as optimal when shooting from a lying position.
Especially with precision rifles, this can lead to uncomfortable results. For those who mainly shoot from a prone position, Arisaka Defense now offers a nice upgrade, the Stock Angle Adapter-SL. This wedge-shaped spacer clicks onto the rear of the Magpul SL stock, restoring the aiming surface to be orthogonal to the barrel axis.
Another feature is that the rubber pad can now be customized. Whether higher or lower, or slightly inclined, everything is possible. The Stock Angle Adapter-SL is available from Arisaka Defense for $59 USD.
