AN/PVS 15 in use

05/23/2011By Redaktion

Hard to say whether it's a real or a fake SEAL posing in this picture (it's a Japanese): Crye in AOR1 on the body, an Ops Core helmet with Surefire light and a working palette with compass and GPS, as we suspect. On the helmet, the L2G05 is the correct mount currently used by the SEALs. And attached to it an AN/PVS 15 night vision device. The reenactor here portrays a SEAL equipped for a HALO or HAHO parachute jump: the gray straps belong to the parachute, he wears an oxygen mask in front of his mouth.
