Showing off with sharp snipers

Iranian state television falsely portrays Hezbollah snipers defeating ISIS with Arash rifle in Syria. Images are actually from video game "Medal of Honor". Video proof debunks propaganda. War distorts truth.

02/25/2016  By Redaktion

Anyone who follows Iranian state television – a French TV channel has done so – would be amazed: Snipers from the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah in the extremely successful fight against Islamic State fighters in Syria. Daesh is taken down by these Shiite heroes, with 6 dead. The Revolutionary Guards' press agency even added that the "heroes" were using the Arash, a 20mm sniper rifle. However, the images are misleading, as they are from a video game called "Medal of Honor".

Below is the original video from which the propaganda film above was created. The viewer can also see the game overlays indicating that this is a MOH video. There is the symbol for headshots that appears repeatedly. And the signature "Mfou" or "Wfou" stands for different perspective options. This just proves the saying: The first casualty of war is always the truth.
