ANACONDA: Radbeweglicher Brückenleger auf HX 8×8-Basis ANACONDA: Radically mobile bridge layer on HX 8×8 basis

General Dynamics European Land Systems – Bridge Systems and Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) are presenting the tactical bridge system ANACONDA on a highly mobile 8x8 carrier vehicle HX2 for the first time at the 5th User Forum Armament and Use RÜ.NET 2023 in Koblenz. The bridge, laying mechanism, and vehicle form a fixed bridge for medium and heavy forces.

The ANACONDA by GDELS is the latest version of the well-known BIBER bridge, of which more than 300 units have been built for the Bundeswehr, NATO partners, and other export customers. The integration onto the tactical truck family HX, which is also used by numerous armed forces, offers significant advantages in interoperability, training, service, and spare part supply, contributing to the overall system's low life cycle costs.

The HX family from RMMV is one of the most widely used military trucks worldwide. Over 16,000 vehicles are in operation globally. Many NATO countries already have HX vehicles in their inventory, leading to valuable synergies in multinational operations.
